General Information

OPTAVIA Convention 2019 will be held in Orlando, Florida at the Gaylord Palms Convention Center. Event dates are July 25–28, 2019.

We understand your need and want you to have a great experience at OPTAVIA Convention. While the Gaylord Convention Center does not have wheelchairs or scooters on property to rent, there is a highly recommended local rental company, K&M Rentals, that can assist! To make arrangements and for more information, please visit their website km-rentals.com. K&M Rentals will gladly deliver your wheelchair/scooter to the Gaylord Convention Center for you.

Registration

Children are a very important part of our OPTAVIA Family. Because OPTAVIA Convention is a professional event focused on business building and leadership training, our policy is that children under the age of 18 will not be in attendance (except nursing babies). If you are in need of childcare, OPTAVIA Kids Care will be open 7:30 AM – 8:00 PM on Friday, July 26 and 7:00 AM – 10:30 PM on Saturday, July 27, located in Sanibel 1–3 for children ages 3–12. Pricing per child ($115 / day) includes lunch and three snacks each day.

Reservations may be made during your event registration. If you have already registered for Convention, you may go back and edit your event registration to include a reservation. The deadline to register for OPTAVIA Kids Care is June 30, 2019 at 11:59 PM PT.

If your spouse has not yet joined our amazing OPTAVIA Community as your co-applicant, we invite them to experience Convention with you! Spouses that are registered as a Guest can attend OPTAVIA Convention.

Day passes for OPTAVIA Convention 2019 will not be available.

You can see who on your team is attending OPTAVIA Convention 2019 by logging into your OPTAVIA CONNECT account. After logging in, scroll over “Events” in the top navigation bar and click on “Convention Report”.

Agenda

Our OPTAVIA Community has grown so much that, new to 2019, there will be two General Sessions identified as Track A and Track B. The content will be the same for both Tracks. The only difference between the tracks is the time of day you will participate in General Session and Breakout Sessions. All participants will be able to select which General Session Track they would like to attend so work with your Business Coach today to determine which Track your team plans to attend and/or which Track time works best for your personal travel schedule.

Track selection is now available! For more information on how to select your track, refer to our instruction sheet for details on this easy three step process! Track selection is on a first come, first serve basis.

Once you select a General Session Track, you will continue with it throughout event (i.e. by selecting Track A, you will go to all Track A General and Breakout Sessions).

General Session Track changes are possible based on availability. We cannot make any exceptions if Tracks are already full.

Unplugged with Dr. A is an add-on training event on Sunday, July 28 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM. Advance registration is required, and the cost is $25 per person. Proceeds will support Healthy Habits For All’s mission to bring healthy habits to even more people.

Advance reservations may be made during your event registration. If you have already registered for Convention, you may go back and edit your event registration to include a reservation. Limited seating is available.

Healthy Habits For All aligns who we are with how we give. Starting with kids in underserved communities, we will teach the same healthy habits that have transformed your Clients’ lives. Knowledge is power, but those habits should be accessible so we will also provide children what they need to make smart choices a reality. Together, we will give kids and families in need the most powerful gift of all: the ability to transform their health and wellness destiny.

Individuals requiring ASL interpretation and closed captioning should register for Track B. These services will be provided in both Track B General Sessions and Track B Breakout Sessions.

Breakout Sessions

Breakout Sessions will be assigned for you based upon your highest performing rank between May–June 2019. There will be two Breakout Sessions offered this year within each Track:

  • Coach – Director*
  • Executive Director & Above

Each Breakout Session is designed to focus on mastering the skills that will help you build your business based on where you are at that time. No matter which General Session Track you choose, Track A or Track B, the content will be the same for your pre-assigned Breakout Session. *Clients and Guests will automatically be placed in the Coach – Director Breakout Session.

At the Event

During Convention, you will spend most of your time inside the Gaylord Convention Center. We encourage you to gather with your teams for Friday evening Team Time off-site as there is so much to see and do in Orlando! Go explore! OPTAVIA will provide complimentary shuttle service to/from the Gaylord Palms Convention Center during peak Convention hours for those staying at an OPTAVIA Convention official hotel partner location. For more information, please refer to our Shuttle Transportation schedule.

Meals are not included at OPTAVIA Convention. In addition, there will no longer be a Celebration of Success Reception before the Ceremony. There are several restaurants onsite at the Gaylord Palms for you to choose from, but in order to accommodate our growing community, cash concessions will also be available. You can purchase lunch vouchers ($20 per person, per day) during your Convention registration or onsite.

Advance voucher sales are available until June 30, 2019 and will be available again for purchase at the event on Thursday, July 25, 2019. We strongly recommend pre-purchasing a lunch voucher to expedite your wait time at the event.

OPTAVIA Kids Care is a great option for families that want to bring their children to Convention.
